The conference will take place at University Duisburg-Essen, campus Essen in buildings S04 and S06. For detailed information on how to arrive check below.

By plane to Düsseldorf International Airport (DUS). Essen central station can be reached comfortably in about 25 minutes from Düsseldorf airport railway station, where about 300 trains (ICE, IC, EC and regional commuter trains) stop daily. At the airport take the SkyTrain to the airport station.

By train to Essen central station (Essen Hauptbahnhof). In Essen Hauptbahnhof, follow the signs ("U") to the subway station.

By subway to station "Universität Essen" (line U11, direction "GE-Buerer Str", or line U17, direction "Karlsplatz"). Subways for both lines leave from Essen Hauptbahnhof subway station every 10 minutes. "Universität Essen" is the third stop starting from Hauptbahnhof Essen (~4 minutes). Building S04 is located right next to the subway exit.

By car navigate to address "Reckhammerweg 34, 45141 Essen". In case of a lack of parking possibilities at Reckhammerweg, an alternative parking deck is located at "Universitätsstraße 12, 45141 Essen".

The conference opening takes place at "Hörsaalzentrum S04 T01 A02".  Sessions take place at building S06. Please note the map of the vicinity.

Museum Folkwang contains an internationally significant collection of 19th-century German and French painting and sculpture. One focal point of the collection is German Romanticism, with Caspar David Friedrich, Carl Gustav Carus and John Christian Dahl. 

In addition to paintings, the Collection features sculptural works by Auguste Rodin, George Minne, Constatin Meunier, Artistide Mailol and Ernst Ludwig Kirchner.
