INREC 2025 Conference Dinner

Following the social event at the Zollverein Museum, we warmly invite all participants to join us for the conference dinner at Casino Zollverein, just a short walk away on the historic Zeche Zollverein premises.

After a day of energetic discussions, join us for an evening of relaxed conversation, delicious food, and great company.

Menu Highlights:

  • Starters: “Miner’s Tapas” and a tiered platter featuring beef carpaccio, mozzarella, and goat cheese with truffle honey

  • Main Course (choose one):

    • Australian Black Angus Filet

    • Gnocchi with porcini mushrooms (vegetarian)

    • Eggplant with quinoa and Italian grilled vegetables (vegan)

  • Dessert: Tiramisu with Kahlua-mascarpone sauce

A selection of aperitifs, wines, and beverages will be available throughout the evening.

How to get to Univerisity Duisburg-Essen, Campus Essen

Follow the instructions of the University of Duisburg-Essen on how to get to the Essen campus.

By plane to Düsseldorf International Airport (DUS). Essen central station can be reached comfortably in about 25 minutes from Düsseldorf airport railway station, where about 300 trains (ICE, IC, EC and regional commuter trains) stop daily. At the airport take the SkyTrain to the airport station.

By train to Essen central station (Essen Hauptbahnhof). In Essen Hauptbahnhof, follow the signs ("U") to the subway station.

By subway to station "Universität Essen" (line U11, direction "GE-Buerer Str", or line U17, direction "Karlsplatz"). Subways for both lines leave from Essen Hauptbahnhof subway station every 10 minutes. "Universität Essen" is the third stop starting from Hauptbahnhof Essen (~4 minutes). Building S04 is located right next to the subway exit. Alternatively to station "Rheinischer Platz" (line 105 direction "Unterstr.", line 106 direction "Germaniaplatz") and follow Gladbeckerstr.

By car navigate to address "Universitätsstraße 12, 45141 Essen" and use the parking lots or parking garage.

The conference registration takes place in building R12. Please note the map of the vicinity. The parallel sessions are planned in building R11.
